7 DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MANUFACTURED AND NATURAL STONE
September 4, 2019
DIFFERENCE #2: Structural application.
NATURAL STONE:
If the stone is actually big enough, it can be used as a structural support enhancement. For such purpose, the stone is cut or carved to a specific shape and dimension in accordance with the structural design. That being said, the use of natural stone for additional support structure is quite rare mainly due to complexity in planning and difficulty in handling the material itself.
MANUFACTURED STONE:
If natural stone is rarely used as additional support enhancement, manufactured stone is never used for that purpose. The material is most likely too light if used as structural support but manufactured and natural stone are interchangeable in nearly all other applications.
