NATURAL STONE:
The vast majority of natural stone retain their natural colors incredibly well. Although the colors do fade over time, it may take hundreds of years until you see a noticeable difference. You probably will not see any major color changes over the course of a lifetime.
MANUFACTURED STONE:
Just like all manmade products, durability, and quality depends on the manufacturing process itself. Cheaply made cultured stone may come at a lower price and is quite tempting especially if you don’t have a big budget to spend. Colors can fade pretty quickly (even quicker if installed outdoor) and the patterns are often quite repetitive. At the same time, the modern manufacturing process incorporates artistic coloring systems to create a natural realistic look. Make time to read the manufacturer’s specifications before making a purchase to know more about the products.
